The Arlington Police Department is investigating a crash that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old man.

On Monday, April 14, 2025, at approximately 3:08 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of S. Cooper Street and Inwood Drive to investigate a collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck. When they arrived on scene, they found the 18-year-old, who was riding the motorcycle, lying unresponsive in the roadway. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased from his injuries.

Investigators determined the young man was traveling southbound along Cooper Street and collided with the back end of a 2013 Dodge Ram that was turning left from the northbound lanes of Cooper Street onto Inwood Drive. The impact caused the motorcycle rider to be thrown from his bike.

Witnesses told investigators the motorcycle rider was lane splitting and driving recklessly just prior to the crash. Speed has not been ruled out as a factor.

The driver of the Ram remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation. At this time, she is not facing any criminal charges in connection to the crash. She was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the deceased.
