UTA Maverick Speaker Series: Political Strategist Donna Brazile

Political strategist and author Donna Brazile, who won the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's highest award for political achievement, will speak about her life and work in politics this Thursday, February 25, 2016, at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Brazile, a media commentator, campaign manager for Al Gore and vice chair of voter registration and participation at the Democratic National Committee, will speak on "Politics and Beyond" and participate in a student question-and-answer session following her remarks. Brazile's lecture, part of the UTA Maverick Speakers Series, is free but tickets are required. The event is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. at Texas Hall, 701 W. Nedderman St.

Copies of Brazile's memoir, Cooking with Grease, will be available for sale during a book signing after the lecture.
