A nearly $6.3 million project in the Willow Bend-Thousand Oaks neighborhood is finished, according to the City of Arlington's Public Works and Transportation Department.

Twenty-two homes within the two subdivisions had reported flooding. Crews extended and enlarged the existing underground storm drain system and regraded ditches to eliminate, or minimize, flooding within these subdivisions.

The project also included installation of approximately 11,600 feet of sanitary line and 11,800 feet of water line. All streets within the project were repaved.

The work, which started February 2013, wrapped up in January.
