City to Host Informational Meeting About Public and Semi-Public Pool Inspections Feb. 29, 2024

Effective Jan. 1, 2024, the City of Arlington transferred inspection duties for public and semi-public pools, spas, and public interactive water features from Code Compliance Department to Planning and Development Department’s Health Services Division.

When ready to open your pool this season, please email your request to [email protected] with the inspection date request, name and address of your property, on site contact name and phone number and permit number(s). Please give a minimum of two business days advance notice prior to your requested inspection date. Permit fees can be paid by logging in to www.ArlingtonPermits.com and searching by the property address or permit number.

To ensure a smooth transition, the City will host an informational session for all public and semi-public pool permit holders. At this meeting we will discuss the inspection process, tips for maintaining a healthy and safe aquatic recreation facility, and common challenges noted during inspections. We will have subject matter experts on-site to answer questions and provide critical information that pool operators will need for the upcoming season. You are cordially invited to participate in this permit holder information session, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, on the first floor of the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, 100 S. Center St.
