Greetings from The American Dream City! Be sure to tune into the newest installment of UTA Spotlight, a weekly news update featuring broadcasting students reporting on events, projects, announcements and other key news and happenings on the university campus and around Arlington.

This week's stories:

  • The UTA community aims to bring awareness to mental health on campus by getting an inside look into the life of a student who's been battling with this condition since she was a child.
  • The UTA Men and Women's basketball strength and conditioning coach from Britain, Danny Wardell, talks about his passion for helping his athletes excel on the court.
  • Philanthropy plays a key role in UTA's Greek organizations. For example, Alpha Kappa Delta Phi recently held a "Mr. Pink Pageant" to raise funds for the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade and to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Find out more about these great stories during this week's edition of UTA Spotlight.

Segments run every week during the semester on Arlington's cable channel, Spectrum Channel 16 and AT-T U-verse channel 99.
