Responsible-Dog-Ownership-Month

Have you ever felt that warm pleasurable feeling of coming home and having your dog greet you at the door practically wagging its tail off because he or she is so happy to see you? These precious creatures love unconditionally and deserve to live their best life ever.

During September, which is Responsible Dog Ownership month, every dog owner is encouraged to make a pledge to be the best pet parent ever. As a responsible dog owner in Arlington, it is important to license your furry friend each year. A reduced license fee is offered to owners of pets showing proof of being spayed or neutered. Ensure your dog has a microchip registered with your current phone number and keep vaccinations up to date to help keep your pet safe and healthy.

Arlington Animal Services in partnership with Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) works to help the community by offering low-cost veterinary services. TCAP is at the center located at 1000 S.E. Green Oaks Boulevard on the second Monday, second Friday (Sept. 14 for this month), and last Friday of every month(Sept. 28 for this month) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Affordable pet vaccinations and microchips are available without an appointment on a first come, first serve basis. For information and/or to schedule a pet sterilization, call TCAP at (866) 310-7387.
