UT Arlington is hosting the annual Formula SAE Texas Autocross on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21.

The competition starts on Saturday with a traditional Formula SAE race course in the morning and an open course in the afternoon. On Sunday, the formula race runs in a true autocross style. More than 30 cars entered by twelve Formula SAE teams from around the country will participate.

The event, held in UT Arlington parking lot 49, is free and open to the public. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, food and beverages. It's also a great opportunity to visit College Park District for a variety of restaurants offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

UT Arlington College of Engineering's Formula SAE team is in its 31st year and has won eight international titles.

Formula SAE is a worldwide engineering competition sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
