The time has finally come. Light Up Arlington is right around the corner! Join the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department on the streets of downtown Arlington on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, from 6-11 p.m.

"' Light Up Arlington' is one of Arlington' s can' t-miss annual events," Center Programs Manager Yvonne Falgout said. "The night will be filled with live music, great food, retail booths and children' s activities topped off with a thrilling fireworks show."

Parking for the event will be available in any public parking lot in the Downtown Arlington area. There will be no dedicated lot for the event. Side streets are a great option; however, please make sure to park in legal parking spots.

Live music at the Coors Light Stage, Boomtown children' s area, Radio Disney, and all vendor booths will open at 6 p.m. The Levitt Pavilion bands will kick-off beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Boomtown children' s area will close at 9 p.m. in preparation for the firework show which will begin at 9:45 p.m. After the show, vendor booths will remain open until 10:30 p.m.

The music line-up for the Coors Light Stage will feature the Young Stars of Arlington at 6 p.m. and the Spazmatics beginning at 8 p.m. Velvet Love Box and Atlanta Rhythm Section will be rocking on the Levitt Pavilion Stage at 7:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., respectively.

Coolers are welcome and beer and wine are permitted; however, no glass containers will be permitted! Please enjoy responsibly. There will be a variety of food vendors available around the festival area serving traditional carnival fare. No selling of food or merchandise allowed without a designated vendor pass will be permitted.
