Here are a few ways you can enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City. 

Women’s History Month: Great Women Scavenger Hunt

Spend this week learning all about the amazing women in history and their accomplishments with this awesome scavenger hunt in honor of Women's History Month. This is available all day during open hours at the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Library.

Kubota College Baseball Series 

The 2024 college baseball season is once again kicking off at Globe Life Field with three consecutive weekends of action featuring 14 teams. Tickets for all games are on sale now! Click here to learn more about the Kubota College Baseball Series

Cabaret at Theatre Arlington

It’s the last chance to catch a Tony Award-Winning Classic, Cabaret, at Theatre Arlington. Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome! It’s 1929 in a seedy Berlin nightclub, where romance and hedonism thrive. As the Third Reich emerges, trouble is everywhere, even in the Cabaret. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday & Saturday, and then 2 p.m. Sunday. Purchase tickets on-site or at Theatre Arlington’s website. The show runs until Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Little Explorers – Downtown Library 

Stop by The Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning.  This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills.  Join the Arlington Public Library as we playfully discover the world around us!  Designed for ages 1-4. Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. Serger for beginners: Twisted Headband

Learn how to thread the serger and then take home a freshly serged project. This event takes place 3-6 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. The serger is a machine that cuts and binds fabric and can be used for a variety of craft projects. Materials will be provided. This class is limited to the first 5 in attendance and is appropriate for ages 13+.

Miller Lite Hot Country Nights: Ray Wylie Hubbard 

Texas Live! hosts Miller Lite Hot Country Nights powered by TXU Energy. Ray Wylie Hubbard takes the stage at the Shift4 Arena with doors opening 6 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024. The Show is free to attend but you can upgrade your concert experience. Learn more by clicking here

The Arlington Music Hall has shows you can enjoy this weekend. You can experience Tab Benoit 8 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, and then 8 p.m. Saturday, March 2, it’s Lee Roy Parnell. Click on the event for ticket information.  

Pet Adoptions Event

Join Arlington Animal Services mobile adoption truck will be at PetSmart at Lincoln Square with furry friends to meet 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024. Stop by to visit with an adoptable pet to get some pet therapy and possibly a forever friend. Cannot make it to the event? 28th Annual Powwow

The UTA Native American Student Association will host its 28th annual Scholarship and Benefit Powwow Saturday, March 2, 2024. This free community event is set from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., at The University of Texas at Arlington’s Maverick Activities Center, 500 W. Nedderman Dr. The event, which includes dance competitions, music, food, and vendors, is designed to raise money for student scholarships provided by the UTA Native American Student Association. This year’s event will also feature Indian Tacos, Native arts & crafts, a stickball demo, women’s, men’s, and community contests and much more. Parking and admission are free for attendees.

KUTUB: Arabic Book Club 

The Arabic Book Club “Kutub” meets at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Resilience Multipurpose Room for on the first Saturday of the month in March from 12-1:30 p.m., while repairs are made to the Northeast Branch Library. Members will discuss novels, short stories, poetry, non-fiction, music, feature films or documentaries that explore Arabic culture. Read and discuss what you’ve read. Exploring new cultures, values, and practices is what makes us better human beings as any culture has things to teach us, regardless of differences. Open for adults and seniors. No registration required.

Daddy Daughter Dance: The Diamond Celebration 

Entering the Diamond Era, it’s time to Sparkle & Shine at the Arlington Parks & Recreation’s 22nd Annual Daddy Daughter Ball. Two dance times take place Saturday, March 2, 2024: 4-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Bob Duncan Center will be transformed into an illuminating Grand Ballroom where guests will dance the night away. Individual tickets include a corsage, light refreshments, dessert, professional photographer to capture the memory, keepsake souvenir tickets onsite, and parting gift for our young guests. Monster Jam

The most unexpected, unscripted and unforgettable motorsports experience for families and fans in the world returns to Arlington for an adrenaline-charged weekend at AT&T Stadium on 6 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024. At Monster Jam, world champion athletes and their 12,000-pound monster tricks tear up the dirt in wide-open competitions of speed and skill. Tickets are on sale now at SeatGeek.com. Tickets are required for kids ages 2 and up.

The Drop: Riggi & Piros 

The Drop presented by CBD Kratom in Shift4 Arena featuring your favorite local and national EDM artists. Head over to Texas Live! 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, for Riggi & Piros.
