The Arlington Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) has approved the following projects:

Bell Textron Inc. is developing a Systems Integration Lab (SIL) facility at the Bell Flight Research Center (FRC) near the Arlington Municipal Airport. This new 50,000-square-foot facility is being built to perform risk reduction, integration, verification and validation testing on air vehicle and mission systems and the software needed to meet requirements for Future Vertical Lift (FVL) system development programs at Bell Flight Research Center in Arlington and the creation of 175 primary jobs.

AEDC grant funding: $2.5 million

  • TOWN NORTH SHOPPING CENTER

    Town North Arlington Partners, LLC renovation and redevelopment of the Town North Shopping Center located at 975 North Cooper Street sitting on 9.7 acres, with 112,000 square feet of tenant space will include infrastructure and facade enhancements, new tenant spaces, upgrades to the parking lot, entryway, landscaping, and plaza/public space improvements.

    AEDC grant funding: $2.3 million
  • THE FOUNDERS ARENA

    The Founders Arena, born from a partnership between the City of Arlington, AEDC and First Rate, Inc., is an innovative WealthTech Accelerator designed to meet the needs of startup tech entrepreneurs. The 10-week intensive gives participants access to networking, funding, training and mentorship. Additionally, The Founders Arena aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship while actively engaging the local community through workshops, seminars, hackathons and networking events. The AEDC approved a three-year performance grant for First Rate, which recently completed nearly $950,000 in renovations to its campus. The facility, which offers 17,650-square-feet of coworking space for lease, will play host to the accelerator participants for the duration of the program.

  • SPORTEC SOLUTIONS

    Sportec Solutions, a Munich-based sports technology company, will establish its U.S. headquarters in Arlington. Sportec Solutions develops next-gen solutions in the fields of match data and sports technology. They maintain a long-term agreement with Major League Soccer (MLS) as the official provider for live data and video services. The new headquarters will include state-of-the-art technology with a full range of services addressing match data, including video refereeing, on-air graphics and live commentary, to name a few. The AEDC approved a performance grant for the new headquarters at Arlington Interlink on East Lamar Boulevard, which will create 17 new jobs with an average annual salary of $55,000.

  • SHERATON REDEVELOPMENT

    Loews Hotels and Company, the City of Arlington and the AEDC will redevelop fourteen acres in the Entertainment District. The redevelopment will include a 513-room upper upscale hotel replacing the existing Sheraton Arlington, a minimum of 25,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and minimum 735-space parking garage to be utilized for the new hotel, convention center, National Medal of Honor Museum, Esports Stadium and Arlington Museum of Art.

  • TEXAS MANUFACTURING ASSISTANCE CENTER (TMAC) STRATEGIC SOLUTIONS FUND 

    The Strategic Solutions Fund aims to help Arlington-based companies accelerate their growth and profitability by providing eligible companies with grants designed to pay for training or services offered by TMAC. These services and trainings are geared towards helping enhance and improve ac ompany’s workforce, processes, facilities, technology, sustainability and productivity. The AEDC will reimburse eligible Arlington manufacturers for services provided by TMAC.
