Fall fun is in full swing – let’s make it a November to remember! Mark your calendar for these upcoming November events with Arlington Parks and Recreation.

Holiday Fitness Challenge – November 1-30

The holidays are coming! Get ahead of that holiday eating this November and jumpstart your New Year's Resolution. Sign up for The Beacon’s Holiday Fitness Challenge where eligible participants can win some great prizes including personal training sessions! Participants must be a green or gold member, pay a $5 entry fee, have a minimum of 12 scan-ins at The Beacon, and tag The Beacon on Facebook five times with a picture of them working out. The Challenge will last the whole month of November.

Cops on the Court – Wednesday, November 3

Arlington Police Department will team up with youth athletes from Sam Houston High School and compete in a fun volleyball game on November 3 at 6:30 PM! Come out to East Library and Recreation Center to cheer them on during this friendly competition and meet your local police officers. Admission is free and all ages are welcome to come watch the game. 

Nature Nite – Friday, November 12

Visit Dottie Lynn Recreation Center on November 12 at 6 PM for a night under the stars as we learn more about this wonderful world around us! There will be educational activities, a dance party, free lawn games, crafts, paid attractions, and food for purchase. This event is free to attend and open to all ages.

East 1-Year Anniversary Block Party – Saturday, November 13

The East Library and Recreation Center is turning one year old and it’s time to party! We invite you to come celebrate the 1 Year anniversary of the facility on November 13 for a fun event with vendors, fitness demos, class previews, membership raffles, games, and more. This event will coincide with the Eastside Exchange community market that will be set up outside the facility at Bob Cooke Park at the same time, so you can enjoy both events simultaneously.

Pickleball Tournament – Saturday, November 13

Join us for a one-day "double elimination" pickleball tournament at Elzie Odom Athletic Center! You will be randomly assigned a partner before the tournament kicks off at 8 AM. Entry is $10 per participant and light refreshments will be provided. This tournament is open to ages 15+ and all skill levels may participate.
