Ka-boom! That's the sound of the Levitt Pavilion shattering all its previous records!

Fall concerts got off to a huge start this year, when an estimated 12,000 people showed up to see Pentatonix, Arlington's own a cappella singing sensations and winners of last year's The Sing-Off on NBC. That crowd on Labor Day weekend broke all previous attendance records for a single concert!

Our additional fall concerts included the ever-popular Brave Combo and The Killdares, local bands like Band of Heathens, Josh Weathers, Smile Smile and Blaine Gray, America's Got Talent runner-up Cas Haley, and X-Factor finalist LeRoy Bell. It was definitely the "season of the TV singing competition finalists.'

Even with a few rain-outs, the Levitt Pavilion ended the 2012 Concert Season with a whopping 108,925 people who enjoyed free music under the stars. Our audience sampling surveys showed that people came to Arlington from 135 cities and 10 states. Finally, our audiences supported free music by donating almost $45,000 in the buckets that are passed at concerts - also a new record!

From the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion Board of Directors, the staff and crew, a heartfelt thank you to everyone - sponsors, donors, artists, volunteers, and especially our audiences, for making 2012 the Levitt Pavilion's most successful year ever. Concerts return in May, when we will celebrate five years of free music under the stars!
