Some City of Arlington employees are doing their part to help those in need have a merry Christmas.

On December 12, the Public Works and Transportation Department held its annual holiday luncheon at the Bob Duncan Center. Approximately 200 employees attended and enjoyed a wonderful meal and entertainment by Bill Bateman and the band.

The employees give back to the community each year by bringing canned goods to the event. This year more than 1,500 canned goods were donated to Mission Arlington. Tillie Burgin, Executive Director for Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex, is shown in the photo with a few of the employees that delivered the canned goods.

If you are looking for ways to make a difference this holiday season, consider giving to Mission Arlington, which has been doing excellent work in the community since 1986.
