Workers are putting the finishing touches on the Chesapeake Energy Christmas Tree in front of City Hall on Abram Street. When it is complete, more than 3,000 lights, colorful ornaments and other decorations will adorn the 48-foot blue spruce from Marion, Michigan.

Don't miss the official lighting ceremony immediately after the 2012 Arlington Holiday Lights Parade on Saturday, Dec. 1. Santa Claus will make a special appearance, so bring your camera for a picture with Saint Nick at the Levitt Pavilion after the tree lighting.
