The 2017 AdvoCare Classic continues a tradition at AT&T Stadium and will once again kick off the college football season with a marquee matchup featuring two of college football's preeminent programs. This showdown between the Michigan Wolverines and Florida Gators will mark the first-ever regular season meeting between the two programs.

The Wolverines will make their second appearance in the series and, for the second time, face an SEC foe. Michigan opened the 2012 season at AT&T Stadium and fell to eventual national champion, Alabama, 41-14 in front of a huge crowd of 90,413, the largest crowd to ever see a college football game in AT&T Stadium. Making their first appearance in the AdvoCare Classic and playing their first-ever game at AT&T Stadium, the Gators look to make a statement against the Big 10 team.
