North Arlington residents who keep in shape at the Elzie Odom Athletic Center can now enjoy a book with their workout. The Arlington Public Library is making it easy by adding a convenient download kiosk for digital audiobooks at the Arlington Parks and Recreation facility, located at 1601 NE Green Oaks Blvd.

Library cardholders can log on at the download station computer located in the Center's lobby. Easy to follow instructions demonstrate how to browse and select a book from the library's eAudiobook collection and download it to almost any player. There are hundreds of titles to choose from, and there is no charge for this service.

This is the second eAudiobook download kiosk installed at a LibraryLiNK location. The Cooper Street Branch of the YMCA, located at 7120 S. Cooper, has been a LibraryLiNK site for remote library service since October. In addition to the download kiosk, the YMCA site offers an innovative pickup locker system and book return.

The LibraryLiNK program of the Arlington Public Library System provides service to the community beyond the four walls of a physical library location. There are currently ten LibraryLiNK locations, expanding the capacity of the George W. Hawkes Central Library and six neighborhood branches. LibraryLiNKs include targeted collections and courier service to selected AISD and MISD schools, the Arlington Reads Literacy House in downtown Arlington, and a mobile van.
