Tierra Verde Golf Tournament Highlights National Environmental Award

Tees and Trees Open is April 22, 2005

Tierra Verde Golf Club will host a 4-player scramble tournament with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2005. The tournament is in celebration of the Club's recent 2004 Environmental Leaders in Golf Award. Tournament registration is $39 per player and includes prizes and an awards reception following play.

The Environmental Leaders in Golf Award is a national award that recognizes golf course superintendents and their courses for management excellence in the areas of resource conservation, water quality management, integrated pest management, and habitat and wildlife management. Tierra Verde Golf Course Superintendent Mark Claburn accepted the award Feb. 11, 2005, during the GCSAA Annual Education Conference in Orlando, FL.
