L. E. A. F. program

The City of Arlington has been a part of Tree City, USA for over ten years now. The L.E.A.F. program aims to increase the canopy cover in Arlington by offering trees for neighborhoods, homeowners, and businesses to plant. On November 5, 2016 the L.E.A.F. program will be giving away 200 15-gallon trees at Randol Mill Park (1901 W. Randol Mill Rd.). The application for the free trees is below.

Planting trees through L.E.A.F. is advantageous for everyone involved: you, your neighborhood, the city, and particularly, the environment.

Through the L.E.A.F. program, neighborhoods can receive up to 100 quality trees FREE! Residents may receive up to two (15 gallon) trees per home. Among the ten approved species are majestic Cedar Elms, Red Oaks, and colorful Redbuds!

In order to receive your trees, you will be asked to sign a 2-year "Commitment of Care" contract. Forestry employees will stop by annually to check up on the trees. Once the application has been received and approved, residents will be able to pick up their trees at Randol Mill Park, November 5.

We encourage you to become environmentally responsible and take part in this exciting program. Volunteer to plant trees and reinvigorate our neighborhood!
