Event Has a Holiday Twist

This event is cancelled due to anticipated inclement weather.

No event will take place on the fourth Saturday this month on December 24, due to the Christmas holiday(the December 24 event is rescheduled for the 10th of December, weather permitting).

From 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. this Saturday, December 3, the Arlington Animal Services mobile adoption unit will park outside of the PetSmart in the Highlands.

As a gift to residents of The American Dream City, the shelter will be adopting out animals this month for a reduced price of $25. The special low adoption fee will be extended throughout the month of December.

You may also find gifts for your old and new furry friends being sold at the mobile adoption unit. Golden PAWS, the volunteer organization for seniors sponsored by the shelter, is holding their annual sale of crafted goods to benefit the shelter.

Blankets, hand-crafted toys, catnip toys for cats, bandannas and more will be sold just in time for Christmas!

If you are interested in becoming a member of Golden PAWS or learning of other volunteer opportunities within the shelter, please contact volunteer coordinator [email protected].

The next volunteer orientation will be held Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
