New Lane Closures Announced for I-30/SH 360 Interchange Project in Arlington

New lane closures are planned for the next week as part of the $233 million Interstate 30/SH 360 Interchange Project and the SH 360 Widening Project. Closures are subject to changes due to weather and schedule. For more information, please visit the Keep 30360 Moving website.

TRAFFIC ALERT:The I-30/SH 360 interchange project is reaching a major milestone early next month. Traffic will be shifted onto the new SH 360 southbound frontage road bridge over I-30. Following that traffic switch, the contractor will remove the existing SH 360 southbound frontage road bridge over I-30. To safely perform this work, I-30 will be closed between FM 157/Collins Street and President George Bush Turnpike from 7 p.m. Friday, Nov 9 through 5 a.m. Monday, Nov 12. Traffic will be detoured along FM 157/Collins Street, SH 180/Division Street/Main Street, and President George Bush Turnpike.

Weekly Lane Closure Look Ahead

Closures are subject to changes due to weather and schedule. Below are anticipated traffic impacts for the coming weeks.

I-30 Main Lanes

  • I-30 Eastbound and Westbound Mainlanes between FM 157/Collins St and President George Bush Turnpike
    • Continuously, 7 p.m. Nov. 9 to 5 a.m. Nov. 12: Both eastbound and westbound I-30 mainlanes will be closed between FM 157/Collins Street and President George Bush Turnpike for bridge removal at SH 360. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to exit FM 157/Collins Street, directed south to SH 180/Division Street to head east, and then turn north onto SH 161 and enter President George Bush Turnpike to access the north-to-east connector ramp (entry is not tolled). Westbound traffic will be detoured onto southbound President George Bush Turnpike to exit SH 180/Main Street (free exit), turn west onto SH 180/Main Street, turn north onto FM 157/Collins Street, then return to I-30 via the I-30 westbound frontage road.
  • I-30 Eastbound Entrance from Copeland Road
    • Through fall 2020: A temporary eastbound I-30 entrance ramp will be opened and accessible from Copeland Road between Ballpark Way and SH 360.
  • I-30 Eastbound Entrance from Convention Center Drive/Copeland Road Intersection
    • Permanently: The eastbound I-30 entrance ramp available from the Convention Center Drive/Copeland Road intersection is closed. Traffic will continue to have access to the ramp to northbound Ballpark Way.
  • I-30 Eastbound Entrance from Northbound Ballpark Way
    • Permanently: The eastbound I-30 entrance ramp from northbound Ballpark Way is closed for the construction of a new northbound Ballpark Way connector to eastbound Copeland Road.
  • I-30 Westbound Exit to Ballpark Way/Baird Farm Road
    • Permanently: The I-30 westbound exit to Ballpark Way/Baird Farm Road is moved further east, closer to SH 360, with traffic now approaching the Ballpark Way intersection from the east side of the roadway. The existing loop ramp is under reconstruction.

I-30 HOV Lanes Between Great Southwest Parkway and Cooper Street

  • Westbound I-30 HOV lane west of SH 161
    • Through fall 2020, the westbound HOV lane west of SH 161 will be closed. TEXpress lane traffic will be directed into the I-30 westbound general main lanes west of SH 161.
  • Eastbound I-30 HOV lane between Center Street and Duncan Perry Road
    • Through fall 2020, the eastbound HOV lane access near Center St and lane through Tarrant County will be closed. TEXpress lane traffic will enter at SH 161.

SH 360 Main Lanes and Ramps

  • SH 360 Northbound Main Lanes approaching Abram Street
    • Continuously, from 7 p.m. Nov. 2 to 6 a.m. Nov. 5: Northbound SH 360 Main Lanes will be closed approaching Abram Street for bridge demolition. Traffic will be exited prior to Abram Street, continue on the northbound frontage road, and entering from north of Division Street. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • SH 360 Southbound Main Lanes approaching Abram Street to Mitchell Street
    • Continuously, from 7 p.m. Nov. 2 to 6 a.m. Nov. 5: Southbound SH 360 mainlanes will be closed approaching Abram St for bridge demolition. Traffic will be exited prior to Division St, continue on the southbound frontage road, and entering from south of Abram St. Traffic may be stopped temporarily for plant access. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • SH 360 Access to I-30
    • Continuously, 7 p.m. Nov. 9 to 5 a.m. Nov. 12: SH 360 access to I-30 at Six Flags Drive will be closed in conjunction with the bridge removal over I-30. SH 360 traffic will be directed to exit SH 180/Division Street to access the eastbound and westbound detour routes to access westbound I-30 from FM 157/Collins Street and eastbound I-30 from President George Bush Turnpike.
  • SH 360 Northbound Exit to Park Row Drive
    • Oct 31, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.: SH 360 Northbound exit to Park Row Drive will be closed to set traffic barrier.

SH 360 Frontage Road

  • Ave K to Lamar Boulevard
    • Through February 2019: The SH 360 southbound frontage road is reduced to one lane between Ave K and Lamar Blvd for construction of new frontage road.
  • Six Flags Drive to Randol Mill Road
    • Continuously, through Nov. 3: The right, outside lane of the SH 360 southbound frontage road between Six Flags Drive and Randol Mill Road will be closed for pavement construction.
  • Southbound-to-Northbound U-turn at Mayfield Road
    • Continuously, through Nov. 9: The SH 360 south-to-north U-turn at Mayfield Road will be closed for demolition and bridge work.
  • Northbound-to-Southbound U-turn at Mayfield Road
    • Continuously, through Nov. 2: The SH 360 north-to-south U-turn at Mayfield Road will be closed for demolition and bridge work.
  • Pioneer Parkway to Park Row Drive
    • Daily, through Nov. 2, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.: The right, outside lane will be closed between Pioneer Parkway and Park Row Drive to install portable concrete traffic safety barrier.
    • Daily, Nov. 5-7, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.: The left, inside lane will be closed between Pioneer Parkway and Park Row Drive to install portable concrete traffic safety barrier.

Local Streets

  • Ballpark Way
    • Through Winter 2019: The right, outside lane of northbound Ballpark Way between I-30 and Brinker Court will be closed for construction of the new westbound I-30 entrance to Ballpark Way.
    • Permanent, The northbound Ballpark Way ramp to eastbound I-30 will be closed for reconstruction to connect with Copeland Road through winter 2019. Northbound Ballpark Way traffic may exit to Copeland Road, turn right and enter on a temporary eastbound I-30 entrance ramp.
  • Ave F
    • Through Fall 2018, eastbound and westbound Ave F traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction and shifted to the south side of Ave F for reconstruction of Ave F.
  • Ave G
    • Through Fall 2018, the 800 block of Ave G is limited to westbound traffic movement.
  • Copeland Road
    • Continuously, eastbound Copeland Road between Ballpark Way and Six Flags Drive is reduced to one lane for general construction.
    • Through Winter 2019: Copeland Road access to Six Flags Drive will be closed through winter 2019 for reconstruction of bridges over Johnson Creek and new pavement to Six Flags Drive. Traffic will be forced onto the new temporary eastbound I-30 entrance ramp between Johnson Creek and SH 360.
    • PERMANENT: Copeland Road between Six Flags Drive and the SH 360 southbound frontage road is closed.
    • PERMANENT: Westbound Copeland Road from Six Flags to just east of Ballpark Way is permanently closed. Only eastbound Copeland Road traffic is allowed between Ballpark Way and Six Flags Drive.
  • Six Flags Drive
    • Continuously, Nov. 9, 7 p.m. to Nov. 12, 5 a.m.: Eastbound and westbound Six Flags Drive access to I-30 will be closed east of SH 360. Traffic will be directed to SH 180/Division Street to access detour routes to I-30 access.
  • Diplomacy Drive
    • Continuously, through Nov. 3: The intersection of Diplomacy Drive and the SH 360 southbound frontage road will be closed for intersection pavement construction.
  • Randol Mill Road east of SH 360
    • Continuously, Nov. 9, 7 p.m. to Nov. 12, 5 a.m.: Randol Mill Road east of SH 360 will be closed to local access only. Through traffic will be prohibited.
  • January Lane at SH 161
    • Continuously, Nov. 9, 7 p.m. to Nov. 12, 5 a.m.: January Lane west of SH 161 will be closed to local access only. Through traffic will be prohibited.
  • Convention Center Drive/Copeland Road Intersection
    • Permanent: the I-30 eastbound entrance ramp available from this intersection is removed permanently from service. Access to northbound Ballpark Way will be maintained.
  • Centennial Drive
    • Continuously, from 7 p.m. Nov. 2 to 6 a.m. Nov. 5: Eastbound Centennial Drive approaching the SH 360 southbound frontage road will be closed to traffic in coordination with the SH 360 main lane closure.
  • Abram Street
    • Daily, through Nov. 1, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.: The left lane of the eastbound and westbound Abram Street frontage road access will be closed for partial bridge removal preparation.
    • Continuously, from 7 p.m. Nov. 2 to 6 a.m. Nov. 5: Abram Street eastbound and westbound traffic will be detoured along the SH 360 frontage roads to turn around at Mitchell Street and SH 180/Division Street. No access will be permitted under SH 360. SEEK ALTERNATE ROUTES. EXPECT DELAYS.
