1. Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas" brightest holiday celebration kicks off in The American Dream City on Friday, Nov. 16. At this exclusive seasonal event, you"ll find everything you need to celebrate the most wonderful time of year. Holiday in the Park is available on select dates from Nov. 16 through Dec. 31. Here are seven incredible features at this year"s event. The park will be open from 5-10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, and noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17-18.

2. Santa"s Toy Factory at The Parks at Arlington Mall

Now through Christmas Eve, experience the magic of the holidays by entering Santa"s workshop and becoming an official toy tester! Come and test and design one-of-a-kind toys with Barbie®, Hot Wheels®, and Thomas && Friends™! Visit The Parks Mall at Arlington this holiday season to become one of Santa"s helpers at Santa"s Toy Factory. Avoid the line by making your reservation for Santa"s workshop early. 3. Live Music at Texas Live!

Check out live music this weekend at Texas Live!, the new $250 million world-class dining, entertainment and hospitality district located near the Rangers" Globe Life Park and Cowboys" AT&&T Stadium in The American Dream City. Arlington Backyard, a 5,000-capacity outdoor event pavilion, is expected to host more than 250 events annually. Several bands will perform throughout the weekend at the Live! Arena, Lockhart Smokehouse and Troy"s. The College Game Day Watch Party kicks off on Saturday at 11 a.m. in front of a Texas-Sized Television and the Cowboys Watch Party starts at 10 a.m. on Sunday. 4. Texas Taco Festival at Texas Live!

Get ready for an action-packed weekend filled with tons of tacos, margaritas, delicious indulgences, and taco themed activities at the Texas Taco Festival at Texas Live! on Saturday && Sunday, November 17 && 18, 2018. Over 75 varieties of tacos will be available, just $3 each. Inside the festival, you"ll find over 30 of Texas"s best restaurants, food trucks, and eateries serving up an amazing variety of mouth watering tacos && other related food items (mexican corn, churritos, churros, tamales, nachos && more).

5. Hansel and Gretel at Arlington Music Hall

Fort Worth Opera presents a new, 60-minute production of Englebert Humperdinck"s enchanting fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel, at Arlington Music Hall in Downtown this Friday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m. Based upon the beloved Brothers Grimm story, this family-friendly classic explores the perils of growing up, and reminds children of all ages to never judge a book by its candy-coated cover. Cleverly reimagined, this innovative show features a witty, contemporary design, exhilarating performances from the talented FWO-TCU Lesley Artists, and a delightful chorus of gingerbread children. 6. The Magical City of Oz at Theatre Arlington

This charming adaptation of the classic story, The Wizard of Oz, has all the characters you love and a few new ones that will make you laugh. A fun-filled production by adult actors with participation by the children in the audience runs through Sunday, November 18! The performance schedule is included below:

  • Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday at 8 p.m.
  • Saturday at 2 p.m. && 8 p.m.
  • Sunday at 2 p.m.

7. Free Feral Cat Sunday for Arlington Feral/Community Cats!

The City of Arlington in partnership with Best Friends Animal Society is offering a free spay/neuter clinic for Arlington Feral and Community Cats in all Arlington ZIP codes. Cat drop off is 8 to 9 a.m., with return for pickup at 4 p.m. every Sunday through November 18, 2018 at the Arlington Animal Services Center. This offer is good to the first 20 Arlington Feral/Community Cats to arrive between 8-9 a.m. Feral Cats must be in a trap. Kittens must be at least three (3) months old. 8. Live Music at Grease Monkey Burger Shop && Social Club

Head over to Grease Monkey Burger Shop && Social Club in Downtown Arlington for live music this weekend. On Friday, November 16, enjoy Legacy 4 at 9 p.m. Audiences can expect to hear some of the greatest hits in both R&&B and Motown. Velvet Love Box will perform on Saturday, November 17 at 9 p.m. The group features three veteran musicians from the North Texas area: guitarist/vocalist Scot Cloud, percussionist/vocalist Brandon Bumpas, and vocalist/bassist Neil Schnell. Grease Monkey is located at 200 N Mesquite St, Arlington, TX 76011.

9. Live Music at J.R. Bentley"s

Check out live music with the Jax Bros. this Saturday, November 17, 2018 at J.R. Bentley"s in Downtown Arlington. The show starts at 8 p.m. Situated in a historic home, J.R. Bentley"s has the feel of an authentic English pub and features several local and area bands throughout the year. The venue is located at 406 W Abram St, Arlington, TX 76010. You can find a complete calendar of events at www.jrbentleys.com. Regular hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 5 p.m. to midnight.

10. Shows at UTA Planetarium

UTA Planetarium continues to offer shows to residents and visitors. This includes Spacepark 360: Infinity, a planetarium show designed to recreate the experience of amusement park thrill rides, roller coasters, pendulums, inverters and more.
