The home team is celebrating all things Jimmy Buffett with a special edition Rangers/Margaritaville hat and a pre-game concert at "Texas Live!." (You need to purchase tickets through the Rangers' theme night link to get a hat.)
One of the greatest shows in sports is coming to UT Arlington Saturday afternoon. The Harlem Globetrotters will show off the spinning and dunking skills that made them one of the most famous teams in the world. Tickets start at $15.
Teaching your children about water safety is one of the most important lessons they will ever learn. Now, Arlington Parks and Recreation has created a program to make those lessons fun. Stop by Allen Bolden Pool Saturday for a morning of free water safety lessons and activities. There will be demos from the American Red Cross along with a bounce house and hot dog cookout. The event starts at 9 o'clock.
If you love hunting for treasure, this is the place to be Saturday. A group of vintage item/antique dealers are gathering on Main Street in Downtown Arlington. There will also be live music and giveaways.
Stop by the Downtown Library Saturday for a walk on the wild side. "All About Animals" will be on hand offering interactive lessons. The event starts at 2 p.m.
Arlington's AT&T Stadium will transform into a battlefield Saturday for the "Spartan Stadion" event. Hundreds of people will push their physical limits on more than 15 different obstacles. If you'd rather watch than run, spectator passes are also available.
It's classic rock times two at Arlington Music Hall Friday night. Tribute bands American Petty and Bad Moon Rising will pay respect to some of music's biggest names. Tickets start at $9.
The highway to hell goes through "Texas Live!" Saturday night. AC/DC tribute band "Back in Black" will take the stage at the Arlington Backyard. Tickets start at $10.
Get ready for another weekend of free, live music at Downtown Arlington's Levitt Pavilion. Friday night is country/rock with The Black Lillies. Saturday night is a special performance by the students at gospel legend Kirk Franklin's Lotus Camp. Sunday is all about Tejano music, with a performance by Ruben Ramos & the Mexican Revolution. All shows start at 8 p.m.
Arlington is a generous city, and this time, we're stepping up to help our neighbors in Grand Prairie. Saturday, On Tap in Downtown Arlington is hosting a fundraiser for fallen Grand Prairie Officer AJ Castaneda. Twenty-five percent of all sales Saturday will be donated to Castaneda's family.
