Enjoying a classic musical, a huge concert, supporting a local festival and more. Here are a few ways you can enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Theatre Arlington presents the musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, winner of the Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Best Book. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. The show is appropriate for ages 13 and up. Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Tickets: $32 (includes $2 online ticket processing fee). Discounts are available for seniors, students & groups. Visit Theatre Arlington’s website for more information. The musical runs until June 19, 2022.
