Here are a few ways you can enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City.

5th Annual Fish Creek Cleanup Challenge

Bring your family, a friend, church, youth group or volunteer group to the 5th Annual Fish Creek Cleanup Challenge 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan 28, 2023 at Cravens Park. Along 8 miles of Fish Creek is the paved path of Fish Creek Linear Trail.  Along that trail is an abundance of wildlife and nature being suffocated by litter and trash. Some litter is even dumped or washed down from neighborhood streets, roads, and highways.  Over the past four years, volunteers have helped remove several tons of trash, but there is more work yet to be done.  Through these efforts, volunteers not only clean the local communities but keep this trash from washing down into our world’s oceans all the while remembering the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Bags, gloves, lunch, snacks, water, and blue t-shirts are provided.  It is suggested you wear waders or waterproof boots if you want to get into the water of Fish Creek.  Long pants and long sleeves are also recommended.  There are wooded areas, parks, and schools along Fish Creek Linear Trail, there is something for everyone.  Join with your family, friends, neighbors, veterans & others all across DFW to make an impact and remember MLK.
