The George W. Hawkes Downtown Library is staying open late Saturday — just for you and your girls. Experience yoga, craft projects, mocktails and more at this free event. There is no need to sign up ahead of time. The event runs from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Tipsy Oak, in Downtown's Urban Union, is celebrating its first year in business Saturday. Stop by for food and drink specials along with live music. There will also be a bounce house and dunk tank for the kids to enjoy.
After you've finished celebrating Tipsy Oak, walk to Legal Draft Beer Co. for an Oktoberfest celebration. The brewery is serving its Lawktoberfest brew along with all your regular favorites. There will also be free popcorn and pretzels on hand. Plus, you can grab lunch from the Hurtado Barbecue food truck. The party runs from noon until 6 p.m.
Start your weekend with Friday Night Fights. Texas Live!, in Arlington's Entertainment District, is hosting a round of MMA and Muay Thai fights. Tickets start at $35.
Our hometown team is back home Sunday to take on Green Bay. If you didn't score tickets to the game, here's your next best option. Texas Live! is hosting a watch party on its 100-foot screen. The action starts at 1:30 p.m. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m.
