Elzie Odom Athletic Center and River Legacy Living Science Center have teamed up to provide a new take on traditional summer camp. Introducing: Elzie Odom’s “Camp-in-a-Box“ Virtual Mini-Camp!

Join Arlington Parks and Recreation as we meet virtually and create your very own camp at home! Each participant of the “Camp-in-a-Box” program will receive duct tape, a camp shirt, and all the cardboard needed to create an epic at-home campsite. In addition, we will provide learning materials, step by step instructions, and counselor guidance via Zoom calls.

Camp is $75 per camper. Zoom camp calls are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. On Friday campers will show off their complete campsite! Three camp sessions are available and will meet August 3-7, August 20-24, and August 31- September 4.

Camp supplies will need to be picked up at Elzie Odom Athletic Center after registration. Outside of supplies included with camp registration, campers will need scissors, a measuring tape or ruler, optional supplies are items to decorate such as markers, paint, glitter.

Tuesdays and Thursdays will be an opportunity for campers to personalize their boat, tent, and campsite.
