Arlington has a rich history of honoring veterans, and that spirit of gratitude led to the creation of Veterans Park, one of the earliest parks built in The American Dream City.

The park land was purchased by the City in 1967. Over the last 52 years, Arlington has continued to make upgrades to the park, to better the community, honor Texas military families and recognize veterans’ unrivaled service to our country.

A veterans memorial was built at the park in 2006, featuring a tribute to the heroes of World War II. The piece is surrounded by white columns and the flags of Arlington, Texas and the United States.

A Vietnam War memorial was added in 2015. The sculpture features American and South Vietnamese soldiers fighting together. Members of Arlington's Vietnamese population helped lead the project.

While the park honors our veterans, it is also a thriving gathering place for Arlington families.

At 103 acres, the park includes a hike-and-bike trail, playground, performing arts stage, community pavilion, equestrian trail and the City's only disc golf course.

Veterans Park is located at 3600 W. Arkansas Lane.
