Park With Construction Fence
Pardon our mess! Construction will be taking place at Cliff Nelson, Bowman Springs, S.J. Stovall, F. J. “Red” Kane, Carl Knox and Jack Langston parks starting in early September.

Starting Sept. 3
Falkenberg Construction will be making drainage repairs on the outside of the playground at Cliff Nelson Park that should help with the washing out of the playground surfacing. The work will entail cutting of some concrete and the creation of some curbing along the playground sidewalk. Weather permitting, the work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Sept. 3 and is expecting to last a few days.

Apex Surface Care will be re-surfacing the restroom floors at Bowman Springs, S.J. Stovall, and F.J. “Red” Kane Parks beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 3 and ending on Thursday, Sept. 5.

Starting Sept. 9
Weather permitting, new playground equipment and replacement construction for Carl Knox Park and Jake Langston Park is scheduled to begin Monday, Sept. 9 and is expecting to last 30 days. Marti Van Ravenswaay Park is expected to start late September.

The new playground equipment aligns with the Arlington City Council priority to Champion Great Neighborhoods.

Carl Knox playground area will be closed during construction; however, the park will remain open. For safety concerns, Jack Langston Park will be closed in its entirety from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the playground upgrade.
