UTA Spotlight: Sorority Raises Money for Safehaven of Tarrant County

Greetings from The American Dream City! Be sure to tune into the newest installment of UTA Spotlight, a weekly news update featuring broadcasting students reporting on events, projects, announcements and other key news and happenings on the University of Texas at Arlington campus and around Arlington.

This week’s stories include:

  • Students and faculty had the opportunity to visit with and ask questions to UTA President Dr. Vistasp Karhhari during the Sept. 18 Pizza with the President event.
  • The Delta Alpha Sigma sorority recently raised money for Safehaven of Tarrant County by selling pink lemonade and other treats on campus.
  • UTA is home to a newly formed varsity esports team and hosted its first varsity-level esports event at Esports Stadium Arlington.

Segments run every week during the semester on Arlington’s cable channel, Spectrum Channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99.
