Together for Mental Health brings leaders across the community with the goal of providing information and encouragement to take care of our mental health during this Mental Health Awareness Month. The panel includes former City of Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams, keynote speaker Dr. Kenyon Godwin (Chair of Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce), Judge Jo Ann Reyes, Brittney Garcia-Dumas (business owner and Chair of Latino Business Group), Dr. Perry Fuchs (Psychology professor at UT Arlington), former City Council member Dr. Victoria Farrar-Myers, Amanda Hibbs (TotalCare Behavioral Health), Kellie Manderfeld, Liza Rena, Antonieta Amendolara and Licensed Professional Counselor Esther Scott.

Together for Mental Health provides community members with an opportunity to talk about an important issue that can impact everyone, while learning to identify helpful tools.

“Our mind is our most valuable asset,” said Esther de la Rosa Scott, Director for Positive Actions International. “All we do and all that we achieve is because of the health and creativity of our mind. Healthy minds produce great success for our community.”

This year's theme is Look Around, Look Within. The group of community members want to remind people that everyone faces challenges in life that can impact our mental health. The world around us can be both positive and negative, bringing joy and sadness, hope and anxiety. But the good news is that there are practical tools that everyone can use to improve and protect their mental health.
