One of the Arlington City Council’s goals is to provide programs and services to directly support youth and their families, enabling them to reach their highest potential in life in The American Dream City.

A successful community requires a variety of support systems and an environment that enables our residents to flourish and grow. That includes using technology to reunite families with their lost pets.

An Arlington Animal Services officer spotted a Beagle loose in a neighborhood. Working together, and using GPS, the field officer and an Animal Services Dispatcher determined that only a few blocks away, the map showed that a city license had been obtained for a pet Beagle. Through teamwork and technology, the Beagle was happily reunited with its family.

You can learn about Arlington Animal Services and other great programs available in Arlington in the latest quarterly edition of the Support Youth and Families newsletter.
