Dinosaur Safari, a new immersive traveling exhibit for children and families, opens on November 13, 2021 and runs until February 12, 2022 in River Legacy Nature Center’s Discovery Room. The nearly 2,000-square-foot exhibit features animatronic baby dinosaurs as well as hands-on stations that help children imagine themselves as paleontologists. The Grand Opening Party for this exhibit will be held on Saturday, November 13 from 9 AM – 5 PM and will feature photo opportunities, contests and giveaways from Chick-fil-A North Collins and a meet-and-greet with Rexie, the River Legacy T-Rex for a special appearance at noon.

“We are so excited to be hosting the Dinosaur Safari exhibit created by Omaha Children's Museum at the Nature Center for three months!” Says Jill Hill, Executive Director of River Legacy Foundation and Nature Center. “It is the most extensive exhibit we have ever had and features the largest number of interactive components. We are very grateful to Arlington Tomorrow Foundation and the Adeline and George McQueen Foundation for making it possible to present this fascinating, engaging experience as part of what River Legacy has to offer. We can't wait to share animatronic dinosaur encounters, fossils, a dinosaur dig, a "virtual jeep ride" and much more with our visitors!”

The incredible world of Dinosaur Safari features colorful and life-like dinosaurs, including a Stegosaurus and T-Rex photo-op, dinosaurs that move and roar and climbable dinosaurs for children to explore.
