Learn About Residential Permitting Process at Free City Workshop Aug. 29

One Start Development CenterAre you thinking about remodeling your kitchen or bath, adding a sunroom or installing a new fence or deck? The City of Arlington's Planning and Development Services will host a free workshop this month to help familiarize you with the residential permitting process, whether you are applying online or in-person through the One Start Development Center.

The Residential Permitting Workshop is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 in the One Start Development Center, located on the 2nd floor of City Hall at 101. W Abram St. Free parking is available throughout Downtown Arlington, including the first floor of the parking garage east of City Hall.

This workshop is designed for residents who want to know more about how to obtain city permits for their planned home construction projects.

In addition to meeting with planners, engineers and plans examiners, participants will leave the workshop with information designed to help make the permitting process smoother.
