The Texas Rangers and Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation paid tribute Tuesday to the health care workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Foundation provided more than 950 meals, across two shifts, for the team at Medical City Arlington.

The delivery was in honor of National Hospital Week and the celebration of Florence Nightingale’s 200th birthday. This is the second time the Foundation has fed workers at Medical City Arlington since the pandemic began.

The Rangers Foundation, through the generosity of donors including Chuck Morgan, provided the meals in partnership with Rangers corporate partners Truly (Boston Beer Company.) These sponsors brought in their restaurant partners including Pluckers, BoomerJack’s Bar & Grill, Dave & Busters, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, and Chili’s.

Since this pandemic began, the Foundation has also provided meals for Safe Haven of Tarrant County and the Arlington Life Shelter and made a financial gift to Mission Arlington /Mission Metroplex as well as to Safe Haven.
