POSTPONED: Public Meeting Set March 18 for City's Poly Webb Road Improvement Project

Public Meeting Notice

Editor's Note: The City of Arlington postponed this meeting on March 16 in an effort to protect public health during the coronavirus outbreak. A new date for this meeting will be announced at a later time. 

The City of Arlington’s Public Works and Transportation Department invites residents in southwest Arlington to attend a Project Design Update Meeting to learn about improvements planned for Poly Webb Road from Pleasant Ridge Road to Shorewood Drive.

The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 in the cafeteria of Miller Elementary School, located at 6401 W. Pleasant Ridge Road. City staff will give a brief presentation about the planned improvements followed by an open house format that will allow for one-on-one discussions to address any questions residents may have.

In addition to rebuilding the asphalt roadway to a concrete roadway, the following improvements are also planned:

• Installation of a roundabout at the intersection of Poly Webb and Bowman Springs Roads
• Installation of sidewalks
• Stormwater infrastructure rebuilds
• Water and sanitary sewer infrastructure renewals

Funding for this project was approved by Arlington voters as part of the $160 million street improvements package in the 2014 Bond Election and aligns with the City Council’s priorities to Enhance Regional Mobility and Champion Great Neighborhoods.
