Dog of the Week – Meet Wallace

This seven-year, one month old male German Shepherd mix is black and tan in color and weighs 61 pounds. Wallace is a bit of a shy guy so give him a few minutes to warm up to you. Once he's comfortable around you he will gladly let you pet him. Having been at the shelter for over a month, he has attained VIP status which allows him to be adopted at a reduced adoption fee. He (like his kennel mate described below) is a great looking shepherd and possesses the personality of a fun-loving dog. Somewhat hyper on leash, he can quickly burn off the energy. After expending his energy, he is content to take in the sights and just hang out with folks. Because he is an older dog, Wallace might do best with an all-adult family or one with older children. Meet Wallace in Dog Adoptions (DA) 12, his ID number is A52125260.

Second Dog of the Week – Meet Weaver

This seven-year, one month old male German Shepherd mix is black and tan in color and weighs 68 pounds. Yes, you are seeing double. Weaver (also a VIP) came into the shelter with Wallace (described above) but we aren't sure whether they are siblings or not. Weaver's personality is very much like that of Wallace. Observing his interaction with other dogs, Weaver seems to be curious and interested but he really likes treats, toys, and playing even more. They would love the opportunity to show off their skills and eagerness to learn with a new adoptive family. While they can get noisy playing together, we have not seen them fight. Adopting them together is not necessary but it would be gratifying if they could be placed together. Meet Weaver in Dog Adoptions (DA), his ID number is A52125172.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
