Dog of the Week - Meet Laredo
This four-year-old male Pit Bull Terrier mix is solid white in color and weighs 79 pounds. Laredo has been in the shelter since the end of October, so he's ready to "bust out" of this place and live his best life with a new "furever" family. HIs favorite activities include going out to the play yard with the volunteers to play ball. Displaying a little shyness at first, after the first game of fetch you'll be his new BFF (best friend forever). He absolutely LOVES playing with tennis balls (see photo). Leash walking is handled nicely and calmly. Being around other dogs in the shelter, Laredo has done well around them. This one-year, eight-month-old female Labrador Retriever mix is black and white in color and weighs 45 pounds. Looking for a good luck charm? Then you won't want to pass up on this four leaf "Clover(leaf)" of a dog. She seems to always be happy and smiling and would make any new owner smile. Walking through the shelter adoption mall you might have missed her while she was resting up for her next encounter with a "hooman". Cloverleaf loves seeing people and playing with them and would be a fun furry friend to have by your side. She has achieved VIP status due to her length of time in the shelter. Indications are that darker colored dogs are often overlooked by potential adopters but you won't want to overlook this (lucky) Cloverleaf.
