Dog of the Week – Meet Kidd
This one-year-old male Hound mix is red in color and weighs 41 pounds. We are not kidding, our selection, Kidd, is an awesome canine. He has earned VIP status due to his having an unusual walking gait—a "hitch in his giddy-up" as we Texans might say! Due to a previous old injury that has healed he walks in a unique way. It doesn't seem to slow him down and Kidd doesn't realize that he's special in any other way other than being an awesome fun dog. He was recently posted on the shelter's main Facebook page due to his VIP status and highlighting his love of belly rubs. Such a fun dog that enjoys being with staff or volunteer "hoomans" or just hanging out napping in his kennel. Second Dog of the Week – Meet Nintendo
This nine-and-a-half-month-old male German Shepherd mix is brown and tan in color and weighs 45 pounds. Who needs Pokemon or Super Mario Brothers when you can have a real "live" Nintendo? This guy is a real goofball as you might be able to tell from his photo. He embodies attributes of being fun, a little goofy, entertaining—just a ball of furry fun! There is a chill side to him also that shows up after playtime (aka as expending energy) when he's a little worn out. He walks well on a leash and would probably benefit from some structured training due to his young age. Nintendo is ready to hang out with you as your new furry friend.
