Dog of the Week – Meet Dom
This just over nine years old male Anatolian Shepherd mix is white and tan in color and weighs 74 pounds. Dom is considered a one-of-a-kind senior VIP at our shelter, who’s eager to find his forever home this September. His unique looks are just the beginning—his personality is even more special. He’s a lover of treats and spending time outdoors, making every walk or playtime an adventure. Despite his age, Dom has a zest for life that’s infectious. He’s been waiting patiently for his perfect match for about five weeks. VIP status has been bestowed on Dom due to his age and that he tested as heartworm positive. A new adoptive parent should be willing to follow through with the necessary heartworm treatment to give Dom the "best life" in his golden years. Come meet Dom and see if you’re the one to give this sweet senior the loving home he deserves! Meet Dom at Dog Adoptions (DA) 8, his ID number is A56413471.
Second Dog of the Week – Meet Sparrow
This six-year-old male Beagle mix is blue and white in color and weighs 31 pounds. Sparrow is an older (but not yet senior) pooch, who’s been patiently waiting for a loving home. He has been in the shelter nearly two months (with a brief adoption that only lasted a day). He came to us with a unique injury, but don’t worry—he’s been medically cleared and is doing great! However, he might need a little extra vet care down the road. This sweet dog has touched the hearts of everyone at the shelter where we see his gentle nature and resilience. Sparrow would probably make a perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal friend. He also has gained VIP status. Adoption specials continue in honor of the Clear the Shelter initiative still going on through the beginning of September. Come meet Sparrow and see if you’re the one to give him the forever home he’s been waiting for! Meet Sparrow at Dog Adoptions (DA) 18, his ID number is A56319053.
Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
