Pets of the Week at the Arlington Animal Service

Dog #1 of the Week – Meet Diamond

This eight-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier mix is brindle and white in color and weighs 30 pounds. What a "gem" of a canine is being featured as a pet of the week. This senior specimen has been in the shelter for over 40 days, and she is really ready to find a new home. Diamond needs a caring family to help her gain more confidence in herself. Through care and nurturing she can once again feel as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. She's all heart and loves to cuddle. Walking well on a leash is one of Diamond's many facets. She really sparkles and is full of love and ready to share it. As a VIP pet, Diamond has a reduced adoption fee. Adopting her would give her the chance to shine. Meet Diamond in Dog Adoptions (DA) 8, her ID number is A49667797.

Dog #2 of the Week – Meet Angus

This nine-year-old male Labrador Retriever mix is black and white in color and weighs 86 pounds. Another special senior is our second featured pet of the week. Angus has spent over 35 days in the shelter, and he is longing to have a home and a family to call his own. Perhaps you can tell from his photo that he likes to use his "smeller" (nose) to find treats and other interesting scents. He's great at finding treats or toys and loves to explore his surroundings. He's guaranteed to provide a new adoptive family with lots of companionship while asking little in return. He appears to be curious of other dogs so he might integrate well with other furry friends. Angus is a VIP pet with a reduced adoption fee. Plan a visit to the shelter to check out this special senior. Meet Angus in Dog Adoptions (DA) 10, his ID number is A49693275.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration, microchip and 30 days free pet insurance.
