Pets of the week

Dog of the Week – Meet Amaranth

This five-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier mix is brown and white in color and weighs 63 pounds. Recently Amaranth was featured on our Facebook page with a photo showing her sad face as she is really wanting to be adopted. Her photo here shows how her sad face becomes a happy face when she has a chance to get out to the play yard. She is a calm, sweet dog and oozes affection and love with a gentle nature—even her "play" is sweet and subdued in the cutest way. Amaranth walks well on a leash and is fresh and ready to "learn the ropes" in a new "furever" home as she seems to be a blank canvas (as far as learning). While she is a little bigger and older it means there is more to love, and she is ready to care for the family that adopts her. Her VIP status means she has a reduced adoption fee. Go against the grain and adopt a little older (experienced) dog as your next furry companion. Meet Amaranth at Dog Condo (DC) 4, her ID number is A51849693.

Second Dog of the Week – Meet Fandango

This one-year-old female smooth Collie, Terrier mix is black, white and brown in color and weighs 51 pounds. A fandango is a lively dance for two and this selected canine is looking for her new dance partner (a new pet guardian). Young, energetic, and ready to play, you can sometimes catch her sleeping but she is ready to go when you are. She loves being outdoors and does pretty well on leash considering her young age and seemingly lack of training. Thinking about the command of "sit" and trying to figure out if she wants to commit to it is one of her dilemmas. A new pet guardian with the patience to step her through training, along with Fandango's desire to please, should fine tune her manners. She's a fun-loving pooch and ready for fun with a loving family. Meet Fandango at Dog Condo (DC) 3, her ID number is A51838857.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
