Patriots Day

Community events are planned across Arlington, from concerts to benefit walks and runs, to mark the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks on America and to recognize the victims and the heroic first responders who answered the call for help.

Among this year’s memorial events:

Field of Honor

At Veterans Park, 911 American flags will be on display from Sept. 4 through Sept. 11 to call attention to and to honor those who serve or have served in our nation's military, local law enforcers, firefighters, first responders and those on the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic. Attendance is free to the public. A special opening ceremony at the park, 3600 W. Arkansas Lane, is set for 10 a.m. Sept. 4 that will include live music.
