North Texas Giving Day Tuesday Now
During these unprecedented times, our greatest assets are each other.

To that end, Communities Foundation of Texas, United Way Metropolitan Dallas, Dallas Cowboys and the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation have launched an emergency giving campaign: North Texas Giving Tuesday Now.

The effort will rally support for thousands of nonprofits – including, 160 Arlington-based charities – on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, from 6 a.m. to midnight.

North Texas Giving Tuesday Now operates the online platform used during the 2019 North Texas Giving Day (NTGD) event. During NTGD 2019, more than 7,300 gifts totaling $1.8 were donated to Arlington charities – up from 6,400 donations of $1.6 million in 2018. All charities registered and eligible for that program are automatically included in this one.

To more fully engage local donors and actively promote our goal of raising critical support for Arlington’s charitable sector, the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation and Friends of the Levitt Pavilion have programmed a full day of live streamed concerts by these Texas artists on the Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s Facebook page:

11 a.m. – Brad Russell
1 p.m. – September Moon
4 p.m. – Steve Helms
5:30 p.m. – Latin Express
7 p.m. – Sara Hickman

The City of Arlington will also share these live concerts at www.facebook.com/cityofarlington and will provide live studio updates at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the latest donation totals benefiting Arlington and North Texas nonprofits and charities.

During each of these performances, artists will remind listeners of the needs of our nonprofits and encourage donors to generously support their efforts through contributions or volunteerism.

“I’m so excited that the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation and the Levitt Pavilion have come up with a creative way to multiply the impact of our annual North Texas Giving Day activities,” said Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams. “By teaming up once more for the May 5 event, we’re able to come together throughout The American Dream City to help those in need during this pandemic.”

Since 2014, the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation has sponsored Arlington Gives! to recognize and highlight Arlington-based nonprofit organizations and help North Texas Giving Day contributors' dollars go even further. In all, 7,299 donations totaling $1,796,731 were donated to Arlington nonprofits in 2019.
