Arlington continues to Champion Great Neighborhoods, with the opening of the new East Library and Recreation Center. The combined facility is truly a must-see. That's why we've put it at the the top of your latest to-do list.

Whether you're looking to take a fitness class, host a pool party, browse the bookshelves or borrow a laptop to work online, the newly opened East Library and Recreation Center offers a variety of programs, amenities and resources for residents of all ages. The combined recreation center and library is located at 1817 New York Ave. at Bob Cooke Park. Click here to learn more.

Arlington's popular leaf recycling program returns Nov. 13, 2020 with new drop-off locations. You may drop off at the following sites:

  • Arlington Landfill: 800 Mosier Valley Road
  • UTA Baseball parking lot on Mitchell Street, east of Fielder Road
  • Richard Simpson Park: 6300 W. Arkansas Lane (please note this is replacing the Bowman Springs location)
  • S.J. Stovall Park: 2800 W. Sublett Road
  • Veterans Park: 3600 W. Arkansas Lane
  • Vandergriff Park: 2800 S Center Street 
  • Cravens Park: 400 Cravens Park Drive
  • Harold Patterson Sports Complex: 1000 W Bardin Road
  • Randol Mill Park: 1901 W Randol Mill Road
