What to Know: May 16 Deadline to Protest 2022 Residential Property Tax Appraisals

Received your 2022 Notice of Appraised Value from the Tarrant Appraisal District recently? Residential property owners have until May 16, 2022, to protest their appraisals with the Tarrant Appraisal Review Board. Even if you don’t have concerns about your home’s appraised value, now is good time to review your Tarrant Appraisal District account to ensure you are receiving all the property tax exemptions you are eligible for within the City of Arlington.

Volunteers Sought to Serve on City of Arlington Boards and Commissions; Applications Due May 15, 2022

The City of Arlington is accepting applications for interested residents who would like to serve on a citizen board or commission. Members of boards and commissions assist the Mayor and City Council by making recommendations on general policy matters impacting the city. Members are appointed by the Mayor and City Council to serve a two-year term. These are volunteer positions. Click here to see a complete list of citizen boards and commissions and to fill out an online application.

City of Arlington Works to Help Community Be Mosquito Free in 2022

Springtime brings more than warm, wet weather to North Texas. It also kicks off the start of mosquito season. There are simple measures to prevent potentially dangerous mosquito bites:

  • DEET is an ingredient to look for in your insect repellent
  • Dress in long sleeves and pants when you're outside
  • Drain standing water in your yard and neighborhood where mosquitoes can breed.

Early Voting for the May 7, 2022, General Election Runs April 25 - May 3

Early voting for the City of Arlington's May 7, 2022, General Election begins Monday, April 25 and will continue through Tuesday, May 3. In Arlington, voters will elect City Council representatives for Districts 1, 2, 6 and 7. View Early Voting dates, times and locations.
