Heather Jefferson and Planning and Development Director

Adding a personal touch to insurance, Heather Jefferson, takes pride in caring for her clients and makes a point to not only “spoil” them but make sure they truly understand their coverage. All of Jefferson’s clients at Heritage Insurance Brokerage receive her personal cell phone number.

“I like to be one-on-one with my clients. As their agent, I do annual reviews with them to go through the insurance to make sure nothing has changed with their situation. Every detail helps. This is something I have always done, even before I created my own company,” said Jefferson.

Originally from Louisiana, Jefferson has called North Texas home for almost 22 years. After nearly seven years working for a captive insurance company, Jefferson took the leap and created her own insurance company three years ago, based here in Arlington. The company has grown despite the pandemic, and now they offer insurance in both Texas and Louisiana.

The team of two at Heritage Insurance stays busy, but whether someone is looking for personal or commercial insurance, Jefferson makes sure that all of her clients understand what type of insurance their policy consists of and more importantly how their insurance policy protects their families.

“I really like for clients to know what they have. A lot of people don’t know there are different levels to full coverage, especially when it comes to auto insurance,” Jefferson stressed. “People think it’s just full coverage, but it’s not. I like to add that personal touch, take the extra five or ten minutes to explain what is covered in their policy.”

Jefferson added she offers free insurance reviews for anyone, not just her clients. Anyone is welcome to send her a policy and have her review it to make sure no crucial coverage is missing.

Heritage Insurance covers all realms of insurance, both personal and commercial, including homeowners, auto, boat, life, personal and flood insurance, just to name a few. Jefferson’s company even recently added disability insurance for athletes and entertainers, with a primary focus on college athletes making transitions into the professional leagues. They do offer bundle discounts for clients.
