Martin High School Graduate Wins 2021 World Food Championship

Preston Nguyen, Martin grad and part-time worker at Prince Lebanese Grill, has just won the 2021 World Food Championship.

AISD and Prince Lebanese Grill is celebrating one of their own this week! Preston Nguyen, Martin grad and part-time worker at Prince Lebanese Grill, has just won the 2021 World Food Championship.

This success does not come without hard work and dedication. Preston Nguyen is a 2021 Martin High School graduate. He was in the Culinary career pathway throughout his time at Martin and did his Practicum Internship at Prince Lebanese Grill. He continues to work part-time at Prince while he is studying culinary arts at the Dallas College El Centro campus. This is the same campus and program that his parents met at 25 years ago.

This is a very exciting time for not only Preston but the whole Nguyen family. This accomplishment has been in the making for 25 years and this title will only continue their family bond and their love for cooking. Preston and his parents, Emma and Peter, will go onto compete in the World Food Championships Final Table.

The World Food Championships Final Table will take place in the Lake Murray region of South Carolina from April 28 to May 1, 2022.

So, if you are thinking about heading over to the Prince Lebanese Grill anytime soon, you might be getting food cooked by a world champion chef!
