2021 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Closings and Service Schedules in Arlington

Many City of Arlington municipal offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

Residential garbage and recycling collection will occur as scheduled on Monday, Jan. 18. Regular office hours and service schedules will resume Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Locations marked with an asterisk below are currently closed to the public due to COVID-19 public health concerns. For more information about what facilities are open or temporarily closed during the coronavirus outbreak, please visit www.arlingtontx.gov/coronavirus.

• The Beacon Recreation Center, 8 a.m. to noon

• East Library and Recreation Center, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Please note: library services at The East will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

• Elzie Odom Athletic Center, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

• Arlington Tennis Center

• Meadowbrook Park Golf Course

• Texas Rangers Golf Club

• Lake Arlington Golf Course

• Tierra Verde Golf Club

• Ventana Grille

• City Hall

• City Office Tower

• Arlington Municipal Court

• All Arlington Public Library branches (except for The East)

• Handitran office and Handitran special transportation services

• Arlington Animal Services Center (Opens at 10 a.m. on Tuesday)

• Parks and Recreation Department administrative offices

• Lake Arlington operations

• Meadowbrook Recreation Center

• Dottie Lynn Recreation Center

• Cliff Nelson Recreation Center (except for existing rentals)

• Eunice Activity Center*

Holiday Garbage and Recycling Schedule: Garbage and recycling will not be picked up New Year’s Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
