In April, General Motors Arlington Assembly had the opportunity to aid the humanitarian relief effort in Ukraine. Government leaders from Ukraine approached them with a special request for big vehicles to help move people out of war zones. In response, 50 full-size Chevrolet Tahoe SUVs were sent across the Ukraine border.

A feat like this could not have been accomplished without the effort of the Arlington Assembly employees, where the Chevrolet Tahoe is produced. Along with the vehicle donations, GM and our employees have donated nearly $500,000 to nonprofit organizations supporting humanitarian aid in the region. GM matched the first $50,000 in employee donations, which surpassed $120,000 and provided an additional $250,000 donation to the International Rescue Committee.

Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
