One of Arlington’s biggest economic development stories of the year was the announcement that the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation selected The American Dream City to build its future National Medal of Honor Museum.

Planned for construction near Globe Life Park and AT&T Stadium, the first national museum of its kind is expected to open to the public in 2024. The museum will offer an unrivaled visitor experience with state-of-the-art permanent, interactive experiences and rotating exhibitions designed to honor the country’s more than 3,500 Medal of Honor recipients. An array of educational programs will also be available to hundreds of thousands of students across North Texas and beyond. Click here to see photos from the site announcement.

You can read more about the future museum in the latest Invest in Our Economy newsletter. This quarter’s publication also features details about Six Flags Entertainment Corporation’s plans to open its new global corporate headquarters in Globe Life Park, a new FedEx Distribution Center with 350 employees, and more business news happening across The American Dream City.

The Arlington City Council has identified “Invest in Our Economy” as one of five key priorities. This quarterly priority newsletter, which is produced in a digital format that allows readers to access videos and important links, highlights activities and projects that focus on quality infrastructure, a versatile workforce, transformative redevelopment and support a vibrant business community for businesses large and small.
